In April 2009 Warsaw will become the New Capital

The International Trade Fair *Expotherm Poland 2009* will be staged in the Polish capital from 1 - 3 April 2009 as the only event of that year to declare it as the *Capital of the Heating, Sanitary Equipment, Air-conditioning and Environmental Technology industries*.
Expotherm brings together top manufacturers of heating, sanitary equipment, air-conditioning systems and environmental technologies with trade visitors from all over Poland and neighbouring countries.

Being the only specialised trade fair for sanitary equipment, heating, air-conditioning and environmental technologies in Poland in 2009 Expotherm responds to the growing demand with currently an estimated 680,000 dwellings under construction in Poland.

Growth in private and public construction projects continues despite financial crisis

Despite of the international financial crisis the Polish building industry is very optimistic, with an estimated annual growth of 10% for the upcoming years.

‘In 2007 building permits for almost 108,000 new residential buildings and 45,000 non-residential buildings were issued. Construction of 185,000 dwellings began in 2007, which has lead to an increase of 34.2% over 2006’ according to Bartlomiej Sosna construction analyst from the consulting and research firm PMR.

These numbers speak for themselves. Currently over 300,000 construction enterprises are active in Poland and there has been an influx of foreign contractors.

With an estimated housing backlog of 1.5 million units and the EURO 2012 Football Championship being co-hosted with Ukraine, the government is committed to increase spending on new homes and infrastructure, which has a direct effect on demand for sanitary equipment, heating, air-conditioning and environmental technology industries.

International trade-fair coming to Warsaw

Expotherm is the only international trade fair for the HVAC industry in Poland in 2009. Warsaw as Poland’s capital has been deliberately chosen to host the exhibition because of its financial and economic importance for the country as well as the entire CEE region. Expotherm allows suppliers and customers to meet in the heart of this important region.
